June Fabre started Smart Healthcare LLC in 1995 to address critical health care issues such as patient safety, nurse staffing, and healthcare value. June develops and presents education programs that improve communication, raise productivity without burnout, and promote team performance.
June knows about nursing challenges because she has experienced them. She has worked as a clinical nurse, educator, and manager in many specialties such as medical surgical, psychiatry, home care, long-term care, ambulatory care, and managed care. She decided to turn nursing challenges into an opportunityto focus on creating positive healthcare change. June believes nurses can activate healthcare change by adding communication and leadership skills to their comprehensive medical knowledge.

In addition, June is the author of over 50 healthcare articles as well as a new book, Smart NursingHow to Create a Positive Work Environment that Empowers and Retains Nurses.
June Fabre received her RN and BS in Education from State University College, Plattsburgh, NY; a BSN from Excelsior College, Albany, NY; and her MBA from Plymouth State University, Plymouth, NH.
June is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives, American Nurses Association, New Hampshire Nurses Association, National Speakers Association, Toastmasters International, and the Derry Writers Group. She was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Speakers Association-New England (2002-2004) and is past president of Manchester Toastmasters.
